Once again, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has uploaded videos during this year. It is thanks to your contributions that the Foot Society continues to be a success! We've arranged to have some more sneaker licking videos uploaded, as well as some pedal pumping videos uploaded over the next few weeks. We get so many foot licking videos, that a sneaker licking videos are a nice change of pace. Of course, afew barefoot male pedal pumping videos are always appreciated for those of us who love seeing hot male feet working the pedals! One final thanks, though - to everyone who is a member of the Foot Society. We couldn't do this without you, so thanks again and we hope to get a lot more hot videos for you as we approach Springtime!

We've just added a new category to the footsociety.com videos members area of our site - XXX Feet! While we have always accepted foot related adult video submissions, this is the first time we've dedicated an entire category to this particular interest. Now, members who are looking for something more than foot licking, pedal pumping and stomping can check out this category to find bare feet action in adult videos! Enjoy and let us know what you think!

Filming from a smartphone is different than filming from a regular, dedicated camcorder. You have to keep in mind all the normal filming matters outlined in my Male Feet Video Director's Guide series, plus a few others. I've seen a lot of male feet videos that could have been much, much just by keeping in mind a few differences between filming from a camcorder.
Orientation: A lot of smartphone male feet videos that I watch are filmed with the smartphone held vertically - in the same way that you look at or talk into a phone. But if you're filming, smartphones were designed to be held horizontally, so that if you do transfer the video to a tv or a monitor, most of the viewing area is filled up. If the orientation is wrong, you'll see two huge black lines to the left and right of the tiny visible area of the video. This should be avoided and it's simple to do so, just rotate the phone 90 degrees clockwise so that you're holding it horizontally when filming!
Stability: Smartphones are very portable and the most interesting male feet videos have a lot of movement. Moving the phone too much can cause you to end up with jerky footage. This can be avoided by focusing on keeping the camera still and making slow, smooth movements when changing positions. Some jerking is inevitable - especially with male feet pedal pumping videos. But you can do your part to minimize it! You can change positions quickly, but the video will be better if you either take it slow, or edit out the transition.

This is the moment that you've been waiting for: actually filming the foot scene! After all the preparation, arranging a date, familiarizing yourself with equipment and checking out the lighting, you're now ready to film!
The first thing we need to make sure, is that we prep the performers. It's one thing to just let them do their thing, but it's a bit nicer to let them know a few things. Directors for us normally tell the performers:
1.) NOISE IS GOOD! Sometimes people will just suck on feet silently, which is great and can come out nicely on film. But if the performers are more verbal, more vocal...that adds to the scene.
2.) WATCH YOUR HANDS! Some people instinctively guide and hold onto a foot they are sucking. Not good! Hands can easily get in the way of a foot video, obscuring our view of the feet we are trying to capture!
Once that's done, on to the filming! We can choose to either film the action with the camera on a tripod or with the camera handheld.
TRIPOD: Using a tripod means that you can set up your camera, hit "record" and let it capture the action! Because of this, you can even film yourself in the middle of the foot action! This may sometimes mean that the action isn't always centered and that close ups aren't possible, but it's a choice for you to make.

Getting the lighting right for a film shoot is one of the most important things that a director can do. The most important (and simplest) piece of advice that we can give is this:
Make sure that you control the light of any photo shoot.
It sounds simple, but it can be a challenge in some photo shoots. For example, if you are relying on natural light on a cloudy day, or near sunset, the amount of light could change considerably during the shoot. If you are doing a pedal pumping video while driving, going under a bridge will cause the light getting into the car to vanish.
How are these challenges overcome? With proper planning, preparation and a few tips.
Planning: Whenever possible, know where the light is going to come from on your shoot. Try to get a consistent light source that is strong enough to illuminate your subject, but not so strong that detail is lost. Room light can be sufficient, as can a handheld light. Natural light can be fine, too, but beware of clouds!
Preparation: Sometimes you may film in a place without enough light. In such a situation, you may need to plan for that by bringing in a light source. In any event, you should make sure that your equipment is able to adequately capture the scene, otherwise filming will be a waste of time and no one wants that!
A Few Tips:
Make sure that the lighting is adequate. Too much light and footage can be whited out. Too little and footage will be too dark.
It is better to film a little too dark than too light. It's easy to brighten footage later.

Probably the single most challenging thing about filming foot videos, is planning a foot shoot. Depending on your resources and the type of shoot, it could be a bit of a challenge, but it need not be too difficult. In this guide, I'm going to focus only on two types of foot films: barefoot pedal pumping and barefoot licking.
In our experience, it's easy to find guys to just show off their feet. But ask a guy to get his feet licked - on film - isn't nearly as easy! Start off with friends. Some may be open minded to it. For the site, it's not essential that they show their faces. That can ease the concerns of a lot of guys, who don't want to be identified getting their feet licked. They may also find it comforting that the videos are private and only 16 thumbnails are visible at a time. It's also not a problem to choose a thumbnail that doesn't show their face, even if the video does!

The first thing I ask a prospective director is what experience they have. Regardless of the answer, my next question is: What camcorder are you using? No matter your level of experience, knowing the strengths and limitations of the equipment you are using is essential to getting the most out of your valuable filming time. There are a minimum of four camcorder specs that every director should be aware of:
This is a measure of how many pixels are displayed. The higher the resolution, the better the quality (if all else is equal). Resolution is measured by the number of pixels displayed both horizontally and vertically. So, 320 x 240 tells us that 320 pixels are displayed horizontally and 240 pixels are displayed vertically. For the site, a minimum of
When we speak of exposure, we're referring to the amount of light that is allowed into the camera when filming. Too much light and the video is too bright, too little and it's too dark. Higher end cameras allow you to adjust the exposure. Consumer cameras often don't, so you'll need to work a bit to make sure that your video looks good.
When an image is in focus, it is clear and not blurry. Some consumer grade camcorders only focus automatically, which can be fine, but it can also lead to what your filming being in focus one moment and out of focus the next.

Making good, quality foot videos can be challenging. Since 2007, it's been my job to get users to upload quality foot videos to footsociety.com videos. We've been fortunate enough to have a number of regular contributors, who have lately been uploading around 10 videos a week. And of course, we'd love to have more contributors!
This guide is primarily for new directors who wish to contribute videos to the site. I'll keep things for the most part at an intermediate level, with some advanced techniques mentioned at times.
The focus is on male feet in action. So, we'll mention techniques/tips in filming foot licking, foot stomping, pedal pumping, etc. We're not going to go over things that our contributors don't add to the site, like just bare feet videos. We'll cover lighting, sound, cameras, editing, angles, getting good action shots and more!
Since 2007, guys who contribute videos to the site, as well as performers who appear in videos for the site, get free membership. We have a director filming in London, England if you are there and would like to appear in a video. Contact me for info on contributing videos you've filmed to the site for credit towards site access.

Well it was bound to happen. This week, over 1000 male feet videos have been uploaded by our contributors! We started off quite slowly, with only a few videos uploaded but now, we have regular contributors and some really hot videos uploaded!
I want to thank all of the site members that have helped us reach this point and especially thank everyone who has contributed videos. We wouldn't have made it this far without you!
So, what's next for us? Lots! More videos, for one thing. Different people, different settings and hopefully, one or two more directors to upload videos! Watch out for us :)

We've decided to make a few additional areas of the site accessible only to logged in members. These areas include the members list, the video listing area, and the list of videos by channel.
What this means is that non-members will only be able to see fewer thumbnails than before and that members will need to log in to see what has been uploaded on that day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. On the other hand, it means that we are more likely to put more sample videos up to show non members what they are missing! Stay tuned!
